Classes for all levels are held four days a week., with one day devoted to field trips conducted in Arabic. In the Colloquial Arabic class within this course, you will converse about familiar topics as well as about contemporary social and cultural issues. This course will start with the second book of Al Kitab. Starting with a brief review of the fundamentals of grammar and syntax within Modern Standard Arabic, we will then cover more advanced issues of Arabic grammar in order to enable you to read texts from a wide range of sources. In the Colloquial Arabic class, you will converse about familiar topics as well as contemporary social and cultural issues. You will read and comprehend a variety of texts in MSA, as well as compose your own paragraphs using your increasing knowledge of MSA.
At the intermediate level, the MSA class starts at the end of the first book of Al Kitab and continues into the second book. The course is divided into two class types: MSA and Colloquial Arabic. You will also participate in the Colloquial Arabic class, where you will converse about familiar topics. You will then move on to read and comprehend a variety of basic texts in MSA, then compose paragraphs of your own using a basic level of MSA. You will start by mastering the Arabic alphabet and learning to distinguish and pronounce all Arabic sounds.
